Rugby club announce JCG Marketing as new shirt sponsor

Rugeley Rugby Club has secured JCG Marketing as a new shirt sponsors for its rugby team.

JCG Marketing is a public relations and marketing consultancy based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

The teams’ new shirts are based on the club’s original colours of green and white stripes which were first adopted in 1947.  The club moved away from the original shirt design in the 1960s and so the 2009 shirt design marks a return to the traditional colours.

Team Captain and Club Chairman Carl Johnson commented:  “On behalf of the club I extend our warm thanks to JCG Marketing for generously supporting the team this year”.

The club is experiencing some what of a renaissance at the present time with the introduction of a new under 12s team and with a strong start to the season for the under 17s team, which too is experiencing a high level of interest from local youngsters. 

Richard Simmons, who manages the Under 12s said: "We believe that it is very important for youngsters to focus on a team based sport as it helps to keep them fit and develop an understanding of teamwork whilst providing a focus outside of school".
